Cork man facing drug charges stresses Christmas greeting was to solicitor and 'not the guards'

 Laurence (Larry) O’Sullivan, of 3 Palmbury Orchard, Togher, Cork, appeared at Cork District Court by video link.

A 58-year-old man appearing by video link from prison on a drug-dealing charge extended a 'Happy Christmas' wish as he was remanded in custody until January but he clarified that this was to his solicitor and “not the guards”.

Sergeant Aisling Murphy said no DPP directions were available yet in the case.
