A gold ring and a gold bracelet worth a total of over €2,000 were tried on by a 30-year-old man in a shop in Cork who left without paying for them and now he has been jailed for four months. 

Judge Treasa Kelly imposed that sentence on Matthew Ginnifer at Cork District Court.
