The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has directed that two men who are among 10 accused of conspiring to import drugs into Ireland as part of an alleged international drugs gang be sent for trial at a Special Criminal Court.

A Special Criminal Court sits with three judges and no jury and deals specifically with cases involving terrorism and organised crime.
