Cork man who was paid in cocaine for storing drug in container in business park avoids jail

Accused had a €6,000 debt and he was storing the drugs to have that debt reduced, court heard

Accused admitted having cocaine and being in possession of the drugs for the purpose of sale or supply at a container in Fota Point Enterprise Park, Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, on February 21, 2023.

A stash of cocaine was uncovered in a Garda operation in Little Island and now the man responsible for the drugs has been given a three-year suspended jail term.

The culprit was described as a storeman who was being paid in cocaine.
