A video was shown in court of a man squirting petrol on the door of a terraced house and throwing a lighting paper at it causing a fireball. On Friday, the culprit was sentenced to four and a half years.

Judge Helen Boyle imposed a sentence of five years with the last six months suspended and backdated to the time of the incident in February when the accused, 28-year-old Warren McGrath, of Curraheen Lawn, Bishopstown, Cork, went into custody.
