A man rang his ex-partner to find out where she was and she told him where but when she returned home he assaulted her by biting her face and squeezing her throat.
Judge Dermot Sheehan imposed a sentence of two and a half years imprisonment on Shaun Tait, of An Duiche, Tipperary Town, at Cork Circuit Criminal Court for the assault he carried out on his ex-partner outside her apartment at Newcestown, Co Cork, on July 2.
