A drunken man caused a lunchtime disturbance among shoppers in Cork city centre by trying to sell a stolen bottle of perfume in a desperate effort to get money to buy food.

Defence solicitor Eddie Burke explained this was the reason for the unusual behaviour by Seán Dent, of no fixed address.
