A 65-year-old farmer appealing a jail term for attacking a veterinary inspector after a visit to his farm was ordered not to conduct any type of farming that would require inspection from the Department of Agriculture.

Judge Helen Boyle made that order at Cork Circuit Appeals Court in the appeal by Andrew Scannell, of Lackaneen, Lissacreasig, Macroom, Co Cork.
