A total of 16 people who were charged in connection with these alleged incidents in Cork city centre on August 25 appeared on Tuesday at Cork District Court.

The investigation of a series of serious public order incidents in Cork city centre on a Sunday evening in August saw 16 young people appear at Cork District Court on Tuesday on various public order charges.

Sergeant John Kelleher said as each of the 16 cases was called that directions were awaited from the Director of Public Prosecutions and that a lengthy adjournment was required to get those directions.
