A crack cocaine addict who was released on bail on Monday afternoon on charges of twice burgling The Green Frog cafe was rearrested within hours of his release and charged with stealing €649 worth of property from Brown Thomas.

41-year-old Aymen Barkaoui, with an address at Barrack Street, Cork, applied once again to be released on bail on Tuesday, but this time Judge Philip O’Leary refused bail and remanded him in custody until October 8.
