A 34-year-old man on a stag night could not keep pace drinking with younger men and ended up getting so drunk that he abused a member of An Garda Síochána and had no memory of doing so.

Brian O’Connell of 43 Grattan Street, Cork, pleaded guilty at Cork District Court to threatening and obstruction charges arising out of the incident as well as being so intoxicated that he was a danger to himself or others.
