CCTV showed a man being struck several times with a crutch to the head and body in an incident that dated back over four years and on Monday a 37-year-old man appeared in court charged with assault.

Richard Harrington, of St Vincent’s hostel, Anglesea Terrace, Cork, appeared before Cork District Court charged with assault causing harm to the other man.
