Cork woman who bit garda's arm given community service

The accused woman came to the attention of gardaĂ­ at Cook Street in Cork city where she was roaring and shouting at staff of The Rob Roy pub.

A Cork woman who verbally abused a member of An Garda Síochána and bit her on the arm during a drunken disturbance at Cook Street in Cork has been ordered to do community service to avoid a term in jail.

Leona O’Riordan, of 84 Mangerton Close, The Glen, Cork, pleaded guilty at Cork District Court to charges of obstruction, engaging in threatening behaviour, and being so intoxicated that she was a danger to herself or others.
