A ruse to ask for permission to use a pub toilet only to burgle an upstairs staffroom resulted in the culprit being jailed for five months.

34-year-old Antonio Arundel pleaded guilty to carrying out the burglary. Judge Mary Dorgan sentenced him to five months in prison at Cork District Court.
