Man arrested over assault of Gavin Sheehan in Cork

Convicted criminal Gavin Sheehan was hospitalised after being assaulted on Friday.

Gardaí have arrested a man in relation to the serious assault of convicted criminal Gavin Sheehan in Cork city on Friday.

The man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on Saturday morning, and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at a Garda station in Cork City.
