A 30-year-old man who claims mistaken identity resulted in him being accused of assaulting a sports store manager will have his case heard at district court level.

Sergeant John Kelleher said the Director of Public Prosecutions had directed the case against Leigh Moran could be dealt with at Cork District Court.
