Young man caught with stolen keg of beer in wheelie bin on Cork bridge jailed

The court heard the young man 'has fallen into very sad circumstances and ended up in homeless accommodation.'

Sergeant Dave Delea said the young man fled the scene when he spotted the gardaí approaching and he abandoned the wheelie bin with the beer keg on board.

Gardaí on patrol in the early hours of the morning were alerted to a man rumbling across Shandon pedestrian bridge with a wheelie bin and it turned out that he was carrying a stolen keg of beer.
