A four-month jail term was imposed on a 25-year-old man who was granted bail on a charge of driving while disqualified but failed to turn up in court on the required date.

Cillian Wolfe of The Fairways, Little Island, County Cork, was arrested by Garda Michael Abernethy on June 22 and charged with driving a Ford Fiesta at Ballytrasna, Little Island, on that date when he was a disqualified driver and consequently uninsured.
