Young man in Cork admits five counts of deception over cryptocurrency investments

Callum Kearney was also charged with inducing a man to give him a vehicle valued €11,000 and €19,000 in cash to make a gain for himself

The offences involved a total of over €47,000 induced by deception to invest in cryptocurrency.

A 22-year-old man accused of five counts of deception involving a total of over €47,000 by inducing people to invest in cryptocurrency confessed to the crimes on Tuesday.

Callum Kearney of no fixed address was originally arrested by Detective Garda Donal O’Connell and charged with five counts of deception under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.
