Gardaí arrest 23 people charged with a total of 100 offences in Dublin
Seventeen of the arrested individuals are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice and Swords District Court respectively, on Tuesday morning.
Gardaí have arrested 23 people following a "comprehensive policing operation" in north Dublin.
The 23 arrested have been charged with a total of 100 offences including burglary, theft, unauthorised taking of a vehicle, and possession of stolen property.
Of the 23 people arrested, 20 are men, and three are women.
Some 17 of the arrested individuals are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice and Swords District Court respectively, on Tuesday morning.
The remainder are due to appear before Dublin District Courts on June 5 and June 6.
The arrests were made as part of Operation Thor, an initiative designed to "tackle the anticipated increase in the number of burglaries and associated criminal activity."
Operation Thor involves actively targeting organised crime gangs and repeat offenders, through co-ordinated crime prevention and enforcement activity based on intelligence and the latest burglary trends.
It began in 2015, and the 'winter phase' of the operation runs each year from October 1 to March 31 of the following year.
