€1m cannabis haul seized in Meath

The drugs were recovered at a warehouse in Ashbourne

Around €1m worth of suspected cannabis was seized on Thursday afternoon in Co Meath. 

The drugs were recovered at a warehouse in Ashbourne by gardaí attached to the Meath South Task Force with the help of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Revenue. 

The suspected cannabis was discovered in vacuum-packed bags. 

They are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland. 

A garda spokesperson added that no arrests have been made at this time.
