A Polish man whose home was searched as part of a burglary investigation set his American bull terrier dog on gardaí, in an attempt to allow him to dispose of several thousand euro worth of cocaine that was discovered at the property, it was alleged at a recent sitting of Fermoy District Court.
Prosecuting, Sergeant Majella O’Sullivan told the court that, as part of an investigation into a burglary carried out in the Carrignavar area on April 22, gardaí searched a property in Mallow, Cork, on May 9.
