Man threatened to 'chop' ex-partner's head off and burn down her home, court told

A Dublin father who allegedly sent messages to his former partner threatening to chop off her head and petrol bomb her and their child's home has been refused bail.

The man, in his 20s, appeared at Dublin District Court after he allegedly sent threats via social media last week. He faced bail objections, and the court heard he had already served a custodial sentence for a similar offence.
