Two men arrested in connection with €890k cannabis seizure

Gardaí in Galway have launched an investigation following a substantial drug seizure today.
At around 11.30am, gardaí searched a property in Galway city as part of Operation Tara.
During the course of the search, a large-scale cannabis cultivation was discovered.
Cannabis plants and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €890,000 were seized and will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

Two men, both aged in their 20s, were arrested at the scene and they are currently being detained at a Garda station in the North West Region.
The operation is part of the Galway Division drugs strategy targeting people involved in the sale and supply of drugs.
Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said
