Garda told court accused was 'a most dangerous individual to deal with'

A young woman was punched, kicked, struck with a brush across the back, and was choked by a former partner in an attack described by a sentencing judge as vicious and violent.

As well as the account given by the victim to An Garda Síochána of what she endured, a brief video from the 20-minute attack was also shown in court.
