Man, 30s, arrested following heroin seizure worth over €300k in Dublin

A man has been arrested following the seizure of suspected heroin worth over €300,000 in Dublin.
The discovery was made when gardaí conducted a search of an apartment in the Smithfield area on Saturday morning.
A quantity of suspected cocaine and items related to the street supply of illegal drugs were also seized.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in connection with the seizure, and is currently being held at a Garda station in the Dublin region.
The search was conducted by uniformed gardaí attached to the Bridewell Garda station as part of a local operation targeting street crime.
The seized drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
