Arrests made in fraud investigation against exchequer and HSE

Gardaí launched the investigation following a complaint of alleged fraud against the exchequer and the HSE.

Two people have been arrested as part of a fraud investigation.

Gardaí launched the investigation following a complaint of alleged fraud against the exchequer and the HSE.

The complaint dates between 2017 and 2019.

On Wednesday, two men were arrested on suspicion of an offence contrary to Section 71 Criminal Justice Act 2006.

The men, aged in their mid-40s and mid-50s, were arrested in Dublin.

The pair are being detained at a south Dublin Garda station.

The investigation is ongoing.
