A young Corkman who took only nine minutes to breach a barring order served on him before Christmas not to approach his mother or put her in fear was released from custody on Friday.

Judge Mary Dorgan was told that the young man’s mother, who was present at the in-camera hearing of Cork District Court, had no objection to her son being released from prison.
