Cocaine worth over €1.1m has been seized by Revenue officers at Dublin Airport.
Approximately 16kg of the illicit drug, with an estimated value of over €1,128,000, was discovered on Thursday, when officers searched the baggage of a passenger who had travelled from Washington.
Dublin Airport gardaí arrested a man, aged in his 30s, who has since been charged and is due before the courts.
The seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
