Cork shoplifter tells judge she had bought her Christmas gifts online
The accused was given a five-month term for the shoplifting offences.
A Cork woman with 151 shoplifting convictions confessed to her latest theft in a case where she rejected Garda fears that she’d go shoplifting if released — as she had all her Christmas shopping done online.
The situation regarding the bail application was overtaken by events as she went on to plead guilty to the new matters and was sentenced by Judge Mary Dorgan at Cork District Court to five months in prison.
