A rapist was jailed for 11 years in Cork on Thursday in a case where the child victim only told her teddy bears what was done to her.

The convicted rapist refuses to accept the unanimous guilty verdicts against him and has expressed no remorse. Mr Justice Michael McGrath noted at the Central Criminal Court from a psychiatric report on the 58-year-old man that he has “persecutory beliefs”.
