A teenager accused of raping and threatening to kill his girlfriend during a disputed incident in an on/off relationship put a bunch of flowers and a card in her school locker the following day.

Prosecution senior counsel Tom Creed said the card was in effect an apology for rape and making a death threat. The accused said he was apologising for things going wrong in the relationship and trying to make the complainant feel better.
