A middle-aged man threatened Brown Thomas staff with the neck of a broken bottle after stealing two bottles of perfume from the store on St Patrick’s Street.

Judge Joanne Carroll jailed Ian O’Sullivan, of Cork Simon Community, for four months for his offences on June 29 when he pleaded guilty at Cork District Court by video link from prison.
