Woman arrested after cannabis worth over €450k seized at Dublin Airport
Gardaí arrested a woman in her 30s has since appeared before the courts
Revenue have seized approximately 22.5kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €450,000 at Dublin Airport.
The illegal drugs were discovered on Friday when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Los Angeles.
Gardaí arrested a woman in her 30s who was taken to a Garda station in Dublin where she was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1996.
She has since appeared before the courts.
Investigations are ongoing.
The seizure was part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs, with the assistance of An Garda Síochána.
