A 44-year-old man has been arrested in Cork and charged with raping a younger male relative 31 times on occasions that go back to a period approximately 20 to 30 years ago.

Detective Sergeant Ailish Murphy charged the accused man on Monday with a total of 73 charges. Those counts consist of 31 charges of rape, 32 charges of sexual assault and 10 counts of gross indecency.
