Sacks of undelivered mail found at back of former postman's house in Cork

Accused remanded on bail to appear again in court next month

The accused was employed to deliver post on a route on the southside of Cork City.

Sacks of undelivered mail were found at the back of a former postman’s house, it was alleged when he appeared before Cork District Court on a charge of failing to deliver post.

Judge Olann Kelleher remanded Stephen Hegarty on bail to appear again before the court on October 18. He was represented by solicitor, Frank Buttimer.
