Tipperary man caught travelling in stolen car in Cork City jailed

Accused and another man had been at a party with friends and the car belonged to someone known to them but it was taken without the owner’s consent, court heard

Accused was jailed for six months.

A Tipperary man caught travelling in a stolen car in Cork City has been jailed for six months.

Martin Harty, 27, of 59 Summerhill, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, appeared at Cork District Court where he pleaded guilty to the charge arising out of an incident where he was found to be a front-seat passenger in the car.
