University Hospital Galway has apologised to the family of a 68-year old man who had surgery at the hospital but later died for deficits in his care.

The High Court heard that Michael Mannion of Glenamaddy, Co. Galway, had aorta surgery at the hospital but later died on September 30, 2018, as a result of complications.
