88 alleged stalkers arrested in Northern Ireland in first year of new legislation 

Officers will be working throughout National Stalking Awareness Week to encourage more victims to come forward, a senior detective said

Police have arrested 88 alleged stalkers in Northern Ireland since new legislation was introduced a year ago.

Since the offence was criminalised in April 2022, 47 people have been charged.
