Garda arrested after being caught with drugs at Dublin Airport

A garda, in her 30s, has been arrested after being caught with a small quantity of controlled drugs at Dublin Airport.

She was taken to Ballymun Garda Station and later released without charge.

The drugs will now be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

The woman is a serving member of An Garda Síochána and based in the Dublin region.

A statement from An Garda Síochána said inquiries were currently ongoing.
