A 91-year-old woman crossing the road in Bandon had both legs broken when she was struck by a car.

Motorist John O’Sullivan, of Gahanive, Castlefreke, Clonakilty, Co Cork, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving causing serious bodily harm to the injured party, at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
