Two arrested after discovery of cannabis growhouse

Two men have been arrested and charged following the discovery of a cannabis growhouse in Co Roscommon on Sunday.

About 250 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €200,000 were seized by gardaí at a premises in Ballinlough. 

The two men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested and detained at a Garda station in Co Roscommon.

Both have since been charged and were due to appear before Mullingar District Court on Monday morning at 10:30am.

Investigations are ongoing.
