Man charged in relation to fatal assault in Finglas

A man, aged in his 30s, has been charged in relation to the fatal assault of Brian Hogan.

The man, who was arrested on Friday, is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on Monday morning.

A second man, also in his 30s, who was arrested as part of the investigation has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the DPP.

Brian Hogan was pronounced dead at the scene at Collins Place in the north Dublin suburb at around 7pm on Friday night.

Investigations are ongoing.
