Gardaí investigating armed robbery of betting shop in Cobh

The man fled the scene with a large sum of cash

No one was hurt during the incident and investigations into the robbery are continuing.

A Garda investigation has been launched after an armed robbery at a bookmaker's in Cobh over the weekend.

The incident took place at around 7.30pm on Saturday. Gardaí responded to a call from the betting shop shortly afterwards.
