A man who posed as a roofer and defrauded an elderly woman of more than €30,000 under the pretence of fixing her roof has been jailed for four and a half years.

Patrick O'Brien, 39, of Hillview Drive, Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick, pleaded guilty to four counts of deception at various locations in Dublin in February 2019.
