Garda takes action over alleged failure by commissioner to process €23k expenses claim filed in 2019

Sergeant claims that for some unknown reason his expenses application has not been assessed or determined by the commissioner, which he claims in judicial review proceedings is unlawful

Sergeant's action is against the Garda Commissioner, the Minister for Justice and Equality, Ireland and the Attorney General.

A Garda sergeant has brought a High Court challenge over what he claims is an alleged failure to process or pay a €23,000 expenses claim he submitted almost three years ago.

The action has been brought Sgt Patrick Dunne, who in 2019 made a claim for subsistence expenses covering a four-year period between July 2014 to October 2018.
