Cork supermarket supervisor gets increased award from steel girder falling on her leg

A Cork supermarket supervisor who injured her leg when a steel girder fell on it in the store has had her court award increased to €218,000 by the Court of Appeal.
In October 2020, the High Court made the €189,000 award to Joann Twomey, 52, over the accident at the Daybreak store, Blackpool, Cork, on April 27, 2015.
