Woman due in court in relation to death of woman, 80s, in Dublin city

The charged woman will appeal before the Criminal Courts of Justice later this morning.

A woman is due in court this morning in relation to the discovery of the body of a woman in her 80s in Dublin city centre. 

A murder investigation was launched after the deceased woman was found with fatal injuries at a property at Seville Place in the north-east of the inner city at 11.50am on Wednesday.

Gardaí subsequently arrested a woman in her 40s in connection with the death.

She has since been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice later this morning.
