Man, 30s, in critical condition after shooting on Dublin farmland

A man has been arrested following a shooting on a Dublin farmland earlier this afternoon.
The incident is understood to have occurred at around 1pm at a private property in the Hazel Grove area south of Tallaght.
The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained an apparent gunshot wound to the head during the incident.
He was treated by emergency services at the scene before being taken to Tallaght University Hospital where his condition is described as "critical"
A man, who is aged in his 50s, was arrested at the scene.
He is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

The location where the shooting took place has been preserved pending an inspection by the Garda Technical Bureau.
Gardaí are now appealing for anyone with information who may have been the Hazel Grove area of Tallaght to come forward.
