Suspended sentence for teen who spat in faces of garda and paramedic

A 15-year-old boy who spat in the faces of an ambulance paramedic and a garda who were assisting him — and acted like “a pup” — has been given an 18-month suspended sentence.

The teenager, who has been in detention to Oberstown in Dublin since May 11, was at Cork Circuit Criminal Court presided over by Judge Seán Ó Donnabháin.
